stopped skipping the boring bit and my legs thanked me
Right so I've been doing a lot of back-to-back long runs lately prepping for next spring and my legs have just been done by Thursday. Like genuinely cooked.
Started actually committing to a proper warmup before each session — not just a light jog, I mean actual dynamic stuff, leg swings, hip openers, a few minutes of easy uphill walking before I push anything. Felt a bit daft at first honestly, standing on the fell doing leg circles like a muppet.
But my first mile pace felt so much smoother. Less of that stiff clunky feeling where your hips are basically screaming at you for the first 20 minutes.
