porridge but make it actually interesting
Right so I've been doing plain porridge for months and I was getting to the point where I'd rather just not bother, which is not a good sign at half 7 in the morning.
So yesterday I chucked some frozen mango in while it was still cooking, let it sort of melt down into the oats, then did a spoonful of almond butter on top and a tiny bit of honey. That's it. No faff. And it was genuinely canny good — like it actually tasted of something for once. I also stirred in a bit of the matcha my lass got me for my birthday, which sounds weird but I'd seen someone do it and thought haway why not. Couldn't really taste it if I'm honest but I'm still getting used to the whole thing and at least there were no lumps this time so I'm counting that as a win.
