ok my skin is officially confused

Been off here for a bit honestly just because my skin has been doing so much and I didn't really know how to talk about it without it sounding like a moan. Basically the weather shifted — that weird in-between period where it's cold in the morning and then somehow warm by 2pm — and my face completely lost the plot. I was getting dry patches AND new spots at the same time which I didn't even think was possible. Like pick a struggle. I've not changed my routine dramatically. I think that's the thing nobody really tells you — sometimes the routine that worked perfectly three weeks ago just stops working and it's not because you did anything wrong, it's just your skin adjusting to the change in temperature and humidity. Or at least that's what I keep telling myself. To be fair I did swap to a slightly heavier moisturiser because my cheeks were feeling tight in the mornings, and I think that might have contributed to a couple of the breakouts around my jaw. Hard to know. It's always hard to know. I've just been trying to keep things simple. Double cleanse at night, not skipping that step even when I'm tired. Keeping up with my collagen in the mornings — been doing that consistently for a while now and it's one of the few things I'm not willing to drop when everything else feels uncertain. Other than that I'm kind of just waiting it out. Sometimes that's the only move really.

my skin does weird things when I'm not drinking enough around training, took me ages to connect the two

nowt worse than when your routine hasn't changed but your skin decides otherwise

I get this every single autumn without fail. What worked for me was just swapping my usual moisturiser for something a bit heavier at night only — skin sorted itself out within a couple of weeks once I did that.

happens every year around this time and I'm still never prepared for it. my skin genuinely takes about 3 weeks to catch up with the season change, just have to ride it out

dry patches and spots at the same time is the most annoying thing, had exactly this in october

does your skin get worse on the days you train harder? I notice mine goes haywire when I sweat more and don't cleanse properly straight after
